Are you Receiving Benefits and Interested in Working? SSA has a Ticket to Work Program, training, job referrals land other ongoing support and services. Ask a lot of questions and be sure you understand and are aware of any restrictions or limitations such as work hours, money earned, how to monitor, what would cause you to your lose your benefits, etc.

Provides information to assist people between the ages of 14 and 65 who are eligible for Social Security benefits based on a disability. They provide information to help the disabled in making informed decisions when they work and have Social Security benefits at the same time. (They cannot help anyone apply for Social Security nor help with appeals.)

Assists individuals with disabilities who receive Social Security Disability Insurance or Supplemental Security Income benefits in obtaining information and advice about receiving vocational rehabilitation and employment services.

Provides a training workshop on “Getting A Job and Being Disabled”. The participants learn such things as: how to determine what types of jobs they can do; how to write resumes; how to interview for a job; learn about having a disability and working; learn their disability rights as an employee, etc.

Assists disabled individuals obtain appropriate employment. Provide “job coaches” to assist each individual. This association charges for their assistance.
