ABOUT US

The Brain Injury Association of Georgia is comprised of survivors, family members, friends, and professionals who understand that the impact of a brain injury is on not only a survivor, but the family members and caregivers as well. We are committed to assisting the Georgia community of people with brain injury with available resources to help this difficult journey.

​Our Executive and Advisory Board Members are comprised of survivors, volunteers, and professionals from the Georgia brain injury community. They are accomplished individuals in their respective fields who have chosen to dedicate their time and efforts to assist the Brain Injury Association of Georgia accomplish its mission. We greatly appreciate their hard work and commitment to our organization.

Mission

The mission of the Brain Injury Association of Georgia is to provide Hope, Help and Support to the citizens of Georgia who have sustained or have been affected by brain injury. They do this by providing education to family members and caregivers as well as advocating for in the interest of those with injuries.

Vision

The Brain Injury Association of Georgia (BIAG) is dedicated to increasing access to quality health care, raising awareness and understanding of brain injury through prevention, education and advocacy. BIAG is the “VOICE OF BRAIN INJURY” in Georgia for individuals, their families and the professionals who serve them.

Brain Injury Association of Georgia is the Georgia State affiliate of the Brain Injury Association of America. Together our mission is to create a better future through brain injury prevention, research, education and advocacy. IRS Status: Brain Injury Association of Georgia is an IRS 501c3 nonprofit organization.

​Brain Injury Association of Georgia      

The Brain Injury Association of Georgia is a non-profit organization serving individuals with brain injuries and their families, friends and service providers. Founded in 1982, we strive to improve the quality of life for people with brain injury and their family and friends by providing Hope, Help and Support through our programs and services.

Brain Injury Association of Georgia is comprised of survivors, family members, friends, and professionals who are all working together to provide community support programs assisting individuals and their families to have a better understanding of the effects of brain injury and to facilitate rehabilitation opportunities.

Funding for our various programs comes from the generosity of our constituents and supporters as well as membership fees, conferences/seminars, private and corporate donations, special events, and foundation grants. We partner with the Brain and Spinal Injury Trust Fund Commission to provide services to TBI survivors in the state of Georgia.

We are a chartered affiliate of the Brain Injury Association of America, Inc.
